Grover Cleveland

Violence in Sports
To: Mrs. Woods From: Jean-Philippe
Do you think there's a connection between sports and violence? If you do, do you think it should be banned? I too think that it's connected but, unlike most people, don't think it should be banned. I have many reasons to believe so and I will state them in my essay.
First I will point out that not all sports include violence. Not many actually express violence, the only ones that do contain violence are team sports. I'm not saying that I dislike team sports, au contraire I love team sports, they help build team spirits. All I'm saying is that sports like football contain lots of violence, unlike individual sports like ping pong or kayaking. Some sports are now becoming so violent that it's almost impossible to remove the violence without removing the sport itself. Lots of people protest because some sports are too violent and they're trying to take the violence away by banning them.
Animal Rights
"Isn't man an amazing animal? He kills wildlife--birds, kangaroos, deer, all kinds of cats, coyotes, groundhogs, mice, foxes and dingoes--by the million in order to protect his domestic animals and their feed. Then he kills domestic animals by the billion and eats them. This in turn kills man by the million, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative--and fatal--health conditions like heart disease, kidney disease, and cancer. So then man tortures and kills millions more animals to look for cures for these diseases. Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are being killed by hunger and malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic animals. Meanwhile, some people are dying of sad laughter at the absurdity of man, who kills so easily and so violently, and once a year sends out cards praying for Peace on Earth."
My Grandfather's Life
My Grandfather, although he moved around a lot when he was a kid, grew up fairly well. He has lived in California, Texas, Wisconsin and many others. He traveled to many places because of his first career. Grandpa was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He lived there for the first three months of his life. He then moved to Texas where he lived in the suburbs of Dallas. He then moved to California and moved back to Texas to live with his grandparents for times when his mother couldn’t have him stay with her. His mother married a man named John and they moved to New Mexico. There he lived on a dude ranch his step-father was building, and he got to ride horses a lot. His chores there were to strip trees to help build buildings, and he took care of the horses. He later did chores around the house.
Maybe not 1000 words (I didn't count) and not quite what I was looking for, but points for originality, indeed. What do we think?
P.S. The picture is hers

I don't agree with your animal rights section at all. That said if you were simply writing to your target audience then I totally get that.
